About the LVA Association
The Lake Victoria Aquaculture (LVA) Association is a membership organization whose mission is to bring together diverse private and public stakeholders for effective collaboration and engagement in advancing a well-regulated, sustainable aquaculture industry in the Lake Victoria region.
The Association’s Objectives are:
1. To foster collaboration among fish farmers, industry players, government agencies, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders to drive the growth and fair competition.
2. To advocate for harmonized national and county legislation and policies that foster sustainable development and environmental stewardship in the Lake region.
3. To mobilize financial, technical, and human resources needed to strengthen capacities within the aquaculture value chain.
Eligibility for Membership
Membership in the Lake Victoria Aquaculture (LVA) Association is open to individuals who are committed to contributing to the transformation of the Lake Region’s blue economy. Eligible members include those who represent or belong to a business, organization, or group with a vested interest in advancing the Lake Region’s aquaculture and related economic activities.
As a member, you will join a network dedicated to promoting sustainable growth, advocating for effective policies, and collaborating on innovative solutions that benefit the region’s communities and ecosystems. Membership offers a platform for engagement, information-sharing, and influence in shaping the future of the Lake Region’s blue economy.
The registration fee is set at KES 1,000, providing an accessible opportunity for most stakeholders to become part of this impactful movement. The Board reserves the right of admission and may review the registration fee at any time.
